William Alexander Julien is the founder and CEO of Lancelot Studios. Directing over 16 short films, his Spring 2022 film “La Cle De L’Amour” garnered over 20 festival selections and awards. His Winter 2022 film “Time Before Christmas” has gained over 65,000 views on YouTube, and his latest project, Sabre: A Fencer’s Story, was recently completed for his thesis film and is currently in the 2023/2024 festival circuit. In May of 2023, he graduated Summa Cumme Laude with distinction from Duke University, majoring in Cinematic arts, and was honored with Duke’s inaugural Outstanding Filmmaker Award. You can feel his passion for film and telling unique stories through the spectacular and awe-inspiring images he captures. While at Duke University, he was a member of its division one varsity fencing team, traveling to NCAA and ACC tournaments across the country, and an executive member of Freewater Productions. William has worked alongside two-time Academy Award winner Barbara Kopple and her production company Cabin Creek Films in New York City and, over the Summer of 2022, worked for Producer Ross Dinerstein of Campfire Studios. In 2019, his work alongside the Africa Foundation was recognized by the Miami Herald and the Silver Knight Academy. Through the art of motion pictures, William aims to inspire global audiences by combining spectacular imagery and thought-provoking stories.
